Ohio SNAP EBT Payment Schedule: When Benefits Arrive
Quick Answer
Ohio loads SNAP benefits onto your Ohio Direction Card on an assigned date between the 1st and the 20th of each month. Your date is printed on your approval notice and stays the same each month. For card help call 866-386-3071.
SNAP in Ohio is run by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services through your county Job and Family Services (JFS) office. Benefits go onto the Ohio Direction Card (formerly the Ohio EBT card).
How Your Deposit Day Is Set
Ohio says benefits are loaded "on an assigned and scheduled date sometime between the 1st and the 20th of the month," and your approval notice lists your date (Ohio Benefits).
Why there is no day-by-day table here: Ohio does not publish a public table linking case numbers to deposit days, and we only publish schedules we can match to an official source. Your approval notice, or Ohio Direction Card customer service at 866-386-3071, can tell you your date.
Upcoming Sweetened Drink Rule
Ohio has a USDA-approved waiver to stop SNAP from paying for sugar-sweetened beverages and all fountain drinks. USDA lists April 1, 2027 as Ohio's target date (USDA). Until then, standard SNAP rules apply.

SNAP Income Limits and Maximum Benefits (Oct 2026 – Sep 2027)
USDA updates these figures every October 1. The table shows the federal limits for 48 states and DC that apply from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027: gross income at or below 130% of the poverty level, net income (after deductions) at or below 100%, and the maximum monthly benefit.
| Household Size | Gross Monthly Income (130%) | Net Monthly Income (100%) | Maximum Monthly Benefit |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $1,729 | $1,330 | $306 |
| 2 | $2,345 | $1,804 | $562 |
| 3 | $2,960 | $2,277 | $808 |
| 4 | $3,575 | $2,750 | $1,023 |
| 5 | $4,191 | $3,224 | $1,217 |
| 6 | $4,806 | $3,697 | $1,463 |
| 7 | $5,421 | $4,170 | $1,616 |
| 8 | $6,037 | $4,644 | $1,841 |
| Each additional member | +$616 | +$474 | +$225 |
Ohio says gross monthly income must be at or below 130% of the federal poverty guidelines, and categorically eligible households or households with an elderly or disabled member may be allowed up to 200% (Ohio Benefits). Your county JFS office makes the final decision.
The maximum benefit goes only to households with no countable net income. Most households get less, because SNAP expects about 30% of net income to be spent on food.
