Florida SNAP EBT Payment Schedule: How Deposit Dates Work

Quick Answer

Florida deposits SNAP benefits over the first 28 calendar days of every month, including weekends and holidays. Your day is based on the 8th and 9th digits of your Florida case number, and benefits post by 6 a.m. To get your exact day, call EBT Customer Service at 1-888-356-3281 or check your notices in MyACCESS.

Florida's Department of Children and Families (DCF) staggers SNAP deposits across the month instead of paying everyone on the 1st. This guide was first written for July 2026; the rules below apply every month.

How Your Deposit Day Is Set

  • Days: benefits are issued over the first 28 calendar days of each month, including weekends and holidays.
  • Your day: it is based on the 8th and 9th digits of your Florida case number.
  • Time: DCF says benefits are deposited once a day, by 6 a.m.
  • First month: newly approved and expedited cases are paid outside the staggered schedule in their first month.

Why there is no day-by-day table here: DCF has not published the full digit-to-day table on its public pages, and we only publish schedules we can match to an official source. Call EBT Customer Service at 1-888-356-3281 to hear your exact date.

Soda, Candy and Dessert Rule

Under a USDA-approved waiver, Florida SNAP benefits cannot be used for soda, energy drinks, candy or prepared desserts. USDA lists April 20, 2026 as Florida's implementation date for this two-year pilot.

How to Check Your EBT Balance

  • Online: the EBT Cardholder Portal at ebtEDGE.com.
  • By phone: call 1-888-356-3281 and enter your 16-digit card number.
  • Receipt or machine: your last receipt, or a store point-of-sale machine or ATM.

SNAP Income Limits and Maximum Benefits (Oct 2026 – Sep 2027)

USDA updates these figures every October 1. The table shows the federal limits for 48 states and DC that apply from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027: gross income at or below 130% of the poverty level, net income (after deductions) at or below 100%, and the maximum monthly benefit.

Florida applies a higher gross income limit to most households: 200% of the federal poverty level (DCF SNAP eligibility). Based on the 2026 HHS poverty guidelines, that is about $2,660 a month for 1 person, $3,607 for 2, $4,554 for 3 and $5,500 for 4 (+$947 per extra person). Households must report when income goes above 130% of the poverty level. DCF makes the final decision.

The maximum benefit goes only to households with no countable net income. Most households get less, because SNAP expects about 30% of net income to be spent on food.

  2. Provide documents: proof of identity, income, housing and utility costs.
  3. Complete the interview: SNAP requires an interview before approval.
