About GovBenefits.Guide
Who We Are
GovBenefits.Guide is a private, independent publisher. We are NOT a government agency and are not affiliated with the Social Security Administration, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, USDA, Department of Veterans Affairs, or any other federal or state agency. Our mission is to help everyday Americans understand and access the benefits they have earned.
What We Do
Official benefit rules are spread across many agency handbooks, notices and fact sheets. GovBenefits.Guide pulls the practical answers — when benefits arrive, what the current limits are, where to apply — into short plain-English pages. We do not charge for access, and we never ask for your Social Security number, case number or any other personal identifying information.
How We Check Our Information
GovBenefits.Guide is run by a small independent publisher. We are not lawyers, caseworkers or government employees, and we do not claim professional credentials. Guides are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, then every figure, date and rule is checked against an official government source before it is published.
- Each guide ends with a Sources list linking to the agency pages we used.
- Each guide shows the date it was last checked against those sources.
- If we cannot confirm something from an official source, we leave it out rather than guess.
Amounts change on fixed cycles — SNAP every October, Social Security and SSI every January, VA compensation every December, Medicare Part B when CMS announces it — so always confirm with the agency before you act. Found an error? Tell us and we will correct it.
We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. If we display advertising, it is clearly labeled and kept separate from the guides.
What We Cover Today
- SNAP payment schedules for Texas, Florida and California, with current income limits and maximum benefits
- A quick-reference table of current Social Security, SSI, Medicare, SNAP and VA disability figures, each linked to its official source
For programs we do not cover yet, the official USA.gov benefit finder is the best place to start.
